George Balanchine’s Who Cares? leads off this anniversary celebration program, accompanied by the twin pianos of Rio Clemente and Regan Ryzuk. Who Cares?, staged by former New York City Ballet star Judith Fugate, is presented by arrangement with the Balanchine Trust. When the production debuted in Morristown in January, critics called New Jersey Ballet and Gershwin "a winning combination," and praised the dancers’ "airtight performance in this witty step-by-step fit to the score of Gershwin’s nimble music."
