New Jersey Ballet will mark its 47th Anniversary with a Gala performance
at NJPAC’s Prudential Hall on Thursday, April 6 at 7:00 p.m. The
Company will use the occasion to honor Senator and former Governor
Richard Codey and Mary Jo Codey.
“The Gala is a chance for everyone to enjoy an evening of
ballet and to thank the Codeys for all they have done for the state
of New Jersey,” said New Jersey Ballet Director Carolyn
Clark.
The performance will feature two ballets by Ali Pourfarrokh.
Facets, which premiered at NJPAC in 1992, and Ariel, which
premiered later that same year and catapulted New Jersey Ballet
onto the prestigious Star-Ledger Top 10 List. The program
will be filled out with some of the greatest pas de deux in the
repertory.
Gala festivities surround the April 6 performance. Ballet Board
member P.J. Hilbert of Basking Ridge, a Senior VP at JPMorgan Chase,
is chairing the event, which is New Jersey Ballet’s most important
fund raising event of the year. In addition to the performance,
gala plans include a Cocktail Reception at 6PM, and a formal dinner
immediately following the performance. Corporate Tables range from
$6,000 to $15,000, with different benefits at each level. Individual
Gala Patron Tickets are $600 (with preferred seating, cocktails and
dinner) and $200 (cocktails and performance only). Advertising space
in the Souvenir Journal and special sponsorship opportunities are
also available. Souvenir Journal ads are also printed in New Jersey
Ballet’s regular playbill at no extra cost. The playbill will
be distributed at New Jersey Ballet performances statewide throughout
the 2006-2007 season. New Jersey Ballet is a not-for-profit performing
arts organization based in Livingston, New Jersey. For advertising
