You’ll
never guess how exciting my trip to NJPAC was. When I first walked into
the theater, I knew that it was going to be an evening that I would never forget. The
seat where I was sitting made the announcers look small--like they were the
size of small soldiers. After that, the lights went out and they were
ready to start the show. They did five scenes; some of them were Flames
of Paris, the Black Swan, etc. I didn’t know that ballet could
be so exciting to watch and yet so complicated to learn. And to be honest,
that was my first time at New Jersey Performing Arts Center.
Seeing
this ballet changed by life in so many ways. It taught me that I could
do anything I set my mind to and this is a lesson that everyone can learn from. If
parents would take the time to take their children to see ballet, maybe there
wouldn’t be so many kids running around the streets like they are wild
today. If they do take the time to take their children, the percentage
of violence on the streets would go down. In this society today the
arts are so important, in my opinion. The reason is that more kids could do
something instead of doing something else. If the arts were to be taken
away from us, I don’t know what this world would be like today.
